Furthermore, the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin has joined forces with Ukrainian and international partners to initiate the founding of a Institute for Advanced Study für die Ukraine (UIAS) in Kyiv. In the founding phase under wartime conditions, a virtual structure, the VUIAS, will first be established. The Volkswagen Foundation is supporting this step with funding of 960,000 euros for the first three years.
