History of the Buildings and Gardens
The Wissenschaftskolleg is located in the Grunewald, a green neighborhood of villas dotted with small lakes, and lies in close proximity to the Kurfürstendamm and the city’s western center.There are twenty-nine apartments available to Fellows and their families in the Villa Walther (Koenigsallee 20), a restored neoclassical building five hundred meters from the Main Building.
