Réunion Quantification
April 21–22, 2014
This workshop brings together the quantification focus group from the Wissenschaftskolleg with its counterpart group from the Nantes Institute for Advanced Study. Both groups consist of historians, sociologists, accountants, statisticians and anthropologists; both groups examine the power of numbers in representing, altering and re-creating social worlds. In what ways have numbers changed how we think about the world, solve problems, and engage in politics?
