The Past and Future of Fashion
May 05–06, 2022
This workshop assumes that the “fast” fashion system as it emerged during the twentieth century is in a state of terminal crisis. It is a powerful motor of ecological and economic inequalities in the world. This makes the conversation about the future of fashion an urgent task. The workshop´s goal is to better adjust our sense of how the conversation about global futures can be enriched by our knowledge of fashion´s pasts.
