Blue Bird Club

In der Zeit von 2006 bis 2008 hat das Wissenschaftskolleg gemeinsam mit dem Centre for Liberal Strategies Sofia den Blue Bird Club organisiert. Der Blue Bird Club war ein Diskussionsforum für engagierte Wissenschaftler und Intellektuelle aus Südosteuropa und Journalisten aus allen Teilen Europas.

From 1996 to 2006 the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin has hosted the Working Group Modernity and Islam, a Berlin-based interdisciplinary research network of scholars working at various universities and extra-university institutions on the questions of Modernity and Islam.

From September 2006 to August 2008, the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin headed and coordinated this multi-institution project funded by the European Commission.

Circulation of Knowledge. Transregional Studies

The inter-institutional project "Circulation of Knowledge. Transregional Studies" was launched by scholars from a range of different disciplines.

EUME

"Europe in the Middle East - the Middle East in Europe" (EUME) is a multi-disciplinary research program that was initiated in 2006 by the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften, the Fritz Thyssen Foundation and the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. Since October 2011 EUME is continued by the Forum Transregionale Studien.

SIAS Summer Institutes

The "SIAS Summer Institutes" are two-year research programs for young researchers and treat interdisciplinary topics.
