Our goal is to understand the interplay between uncertainty and social decision-making in the context of influenza vaccination and outbreak surveillance. Human decisions are driven by people's understanding of the biological system, and the human decisions in turn affect the biological dynamics of disease transmission. Assessing the interplay among biological systems, decision-making processes, social influences and mechanisms of global governance will lead to more accurate predictions of behavior.Recommended Reading
